Quick pitch: Think Ferris Bueller goes to Narnia

Quick Synopsis: Langdimania is a land that only exists in the imagination of a twelve-year-old boy named Army. Or does it? Army has a lot on his plate (travelling between two worlds, learning the truth about time from a talking pig, trying to save the floating girl from impending doom) all while trying to get the lead in the school musical. Join the adventure as Army tries to figure it all out, while juggling the day-to-day struggles of junior high school.

The early Amazon reviews are off the charts! Here are some examples

"★★★★★ - This book truly is magical, it's like a portal that opens your inner vision and shows you how to shine your own light that has been dimmed, awakens your childlike awe and curiosity and that to me is a mastery ad astram. Skillfully crafted story throws you right back into childhood and catches you like a fly into the spider's web and you have no chance but let yourself spiral into the very centre of this man's soul. I am really moved by this piece, thank you!!!"

"★★★★★ - Great fun of a book. Part Wizard of Oz and the Never Ending Story set in today’s haphazard preteen world. Very much enjoyed. Clever writing that speaks to the kid in all of us…."

"★★★★★ - My 8 year old absolutely adored this book! He devoured it- we had to make sure he closed the book once in a while so he could get some sleep. It was perfect for a kid who loves magic, adventure and animals."

"★★★★★ - I am not one to write reviews but just had to write one for this book. Langdimania is an AWESOME , exciting read. I purchased for my 10 year old grandson . We both got so caught up in the action of the story we had trouble putting it down. We were reading together and I must say I enjoyed it as much as he did . We are both hoping the story can continue with another book from this Author!"

"★★★★★ - A terrific read. A young man’s journey into the realms of the magical, where he must learn to navigate between self-concern and the the needs of others. A good smattering of philosophy is effortlessly woven into the narrative, giving readers of all ages plenty to think about."

"★★★★★ - Step into a magical place where animals drink tea and talk philosophy, and kids face real life problems in two universes! Adolescence is difficult but it’s also a mystical time where we still believe we can be heroes, translators between the world of childhood and whatever comes next. This book is a whimsical and serious journey into an unforgettable place of courage and fantasy. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to set foot in Narnia without the proselytizing embedded in those (magical) pages? You won’t want to put Langdimania down and you won’t forget it."

"★★★★★ - Langdimania is like JD Salinger (if I liked Salinger’s work) meets the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe without the Christian overtones and stuffy language. Yay. Some coming-of-age-meets-magical-realism, Lach-style!"

"★★★★★ - A delightful and humorous tale incorporating time and space travel, the power of love and imagination, and belief in the goodness of life - all while navigating the treacherous landscape of junior high school!"

"★★★★★ - Lach’s sly, illuminating, genre-defying take on existence, his ingenious wit and extraordinary ability with words and language have made him one of the most important songwriters of his generation, inventor of an entire music genre (Antifolk), a dazzling live performer and standup comic, and star of BBC 4’s brilliant three-season radio show “The Lach Chronicles.” What a treat for the world to finally have an entire novel — “Langdimania” — by this enormous talent. Be sure to take a copy with you on your next intergalactic cruise."
