Silent Reigns

from Silent Reigns by Lach

fan club exclusive

about

"In a galaxy far, far away I was in a magical band called Proper Id, and I recently reconnected with one of the guitarists, Marc Davison. We were never on the outs, we simply lost track of each other over the years as friends do as their paths diverge. Our reconnection has led to collaboration and the result is "Silent Reigns" our first single for The Fan Club. This is a song we did with Proper iD and I'm thrilled it's getting a second life now, and that's all with the support of you guys! Thank-you!" - Lach

lyrics

SILENT REIGNS

Tell you what is real
And you'd actually believe me
Tell you how I feel
And you actually believe me

Silver chains the sculptor
For breaking a law called gravity
Rusty chains the prisoner
For breaking a law called sanity

And in your silence you condemn them
And in your private world
Stand condemned

Oh yeah, hearing noises now
Funny noises now
Can tell you all about yourself
While you sat home all by yourself
I sung about yourself
'Cos I told you what is real
And you'd actually believed me
Told you how I feel
And you actually believed me

Silent reigns the public
A sky of ex - expectation
Gold reigns my music
A process called evaporation
I'm evaporatin'

And in your silence you condemn them
And in your velvet robe
Stand condemned

I found me a space in the music
I'm going to take advantage of it
Found a little break for the singer, baby
Gonna take advantage of it

Breaking the laws of syntax
I'm stepping out of context
And I'm singing: 'Come on, come on, come on'
Free yourself
Free yourself
Free yourself
Come on, free yourself

You believed me

But in your silence you condemn them
Said in your velvet robe
You stand condemned
Said in your silence you condemn them
Said in your velvet robe
Stand condemned
