I find solace in music
In poetry and art
In the works of scientists
Who upset the apple-carts
A famous psychiatrist
Once examined my heart
Then posited that I exist
But forgot how to play my part
To stay sane I went insane

That’s me standing starkly
On the “all the world's’” stage
Through a glass darkly
Looking at a dog-eared page
A play that’s cast me in the part
Of an angel in a cage
Promoted as a devil
A fool labelled as a sage
