Lach's third album 'Kids Fly Free' came out the week the World Trade Center fell. Tour cancelled, the album never had a chance. It was originally released on Lach's Fortified label that included artwork on the disc itself. It was then picked up by Track Records in the UK, who originally signed Hendrix and The Who, and that import version has no CD art but does have a bonus hidden track of 'The Hillary Clinton Song'. Please indicate with your order whether you'd like the US or UK version.

about

"This song became the basis for episode one of season two of my BBC Radio 4 series The Lach Chronicles. I hope I can release those episodes to the gen pub sooner rather than later.
Sidenotes: In comedy when a comic turns to more x-rated material in order to garner laughs it's called "going blue". (People in comas and ODs also tend to gain a bluish palor). In The States Hee-Haw was a corny variety show based on country music stereotypes and in Scotland it's slang for "nothing". As in "that's worth hee-haw." Work's either way for the song!" - Lach

lyrics

Sally’s Gone Blue

Sally B’s a comic who gets her biggest laugh
Walking the streets handing out her autograph
She never says, “How are you?”
She never says “Hello”
It would interrupt her mantra of “Come to my next show.”

Her flyers say she packs the room each and every night
But most of them are other acts signed up for the open mike
She says she’s an edge comic but it feels more like edge-lite
Who today is shocked to hear the bit about fingering the dyke?

Sally’s gone blue hooked on pills and applause
Sally’s gone blue Benny Hill meets Hee-Haw

Her health plan is an audience, her hospital a stage
Laughter is her currency and she barely makes a wage
Her future is certain, quite simple to gauge
She’ll be screaming about coming but never coming of age

Sally’s gone blue hooked on pills and applause
Sally’s gone blue Benny Hill meets Hee-Haw
Sally’s gone blue like a stoned Elvis posing as Santa Claus
