Lach's third album 'Kids Fly Free' came out the week the World Trade Center fell. Tour cancelled, the album never had a chance. It was originally released on Lach's Fortified label that included artwork on the disc itself. It was then picked up by Track Records in the UK, who originally signed Hendrix and The Who, and that import version has no CD art but does have a bonus hidden track of 'The Hillary Clinton Song'. Please indicate with your order whether you'd like the US or UK version.

about

"Running and playing in nightclubs for nine hundred years I ended up with a number of songs of what's it like. Here's another. The maddening faceless archetypical sleeve puller." - Lach

lyrics

He Wanted to Talk

He's a kaleidoscopic mirror he can see into your past
His bones are not solidified; he shudders when he laughs
One's eyes are their full size from the moment of one's birth
And his will swallow you like the eclipse does the Earth

He'll apologize for drinking but still he'll bend your ear
And with the slowness of infinity he'll tell you why he's here
We all have a soulmate, a doppelganger, a twin
And he is positive that yours is trapped inside of him

He will not use art nor poetry or dance
He will not enlighten he will only enhance
And all his sentences are pillows that he fluffs
To lay his big head upon when he's finally had enough

0 great soul, genious, misunderstood city man
With heart on relief and guitar in sweaty hand
Your songs belie a madness born of cowardice and pride
And the lyric is so maudlin that the melody up and died

And yes I sit in judgement for I am a lot like him
The line between us is as thin as an orphan
Abandoned to the wiles of the Public's fickle whim
Where trials are for entertainment and true discourse is a boring sin
