Shadowboxer 02:18
Shadow Boxer You can never tell when it's going to happen So you look in every eye just to be sure Once, long ago, you thought you had it But now you find you're just searching for more Down in the village when the wine gets served Check out the waitress and the dancing girls Check out every lady from every angle Give yourself excuses not to go home (You say) We are all not equal We are not all right But we're all going to find ourselves A place to sleep tonight La-de-da-de-dum Now you're lonely but you look exquisite And all your dreams have turned black and blue Yeah, you feel like just like Jimmy Cagney You're shadowboxing, but who's beating who? (You say) We are all not equal we are not all right But we're all going to find ourselves A place to sleep tonight la-de-da-de-dum

about

"There are certain lines in songs that just some the whole tune up, the anchor line and I love singing them, in this case it's 'Now you're lonely but you look exquisite'. Exquisite is such an exquisite word! I've been holding this tune back from albums for years but the Fan Club inspired me to get it out there. Perhaps some of the upcoming Fan Club releases will become my next album. That'd be cool." - Lach
